Things have changed!

I knew it had been a long time since I’ve written a new blog post, but I didn’t realize how long!  I won’t try to catch up now.  That would take waaaayyyy too long.

I’ll just hit the high points!

The biggest change that has happened for me recently is that I moved from Houston, TX to Kansas City, MO about a year ago to be closer to my daughter and her then-fiance!  I’m really loving being away from the Houston heat, and traffic and crazy people. I just love Missouri and the much cooler, drier climate. We had a pretty cold winter, but not much snow. Having a real winter just makes spring that much sweeter when it finally arrives!

Two big changes have happened for my lovely daughter, too.  First of all, she and her boyfriend of 11 years finally got married on February 23, 2018. It was a spectacular wedding–absolutely perfect in every way.

Jessica has also changed careers! After many years of putting up with the craziness of retail management, she is now a realtor for ReeceNichols Realty, one of the highest ranking realty outfits in the Kansas City area.  This is a big change for her, and I just know it’s going to be a good one. Congratulations, Jessica!

I am still teaching lessons, in person and online. Actually all of my lessons are online right now. My students are so great, sometimes I think I should pay them for all the stuff I learn from teaching them!

I am currently in the process of putting together my first volume of easy pieces for cross-strung harp. This book will be available as a PDF download and eventually in printed form right here on this website. Each of the pieces in the book will also be available individually. There will also be a piano midi file posted for each piece so you can know what it’s supposed to sound like.
